Assistant Operations Manager

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Operations professional from the diamond/Jewellery industry who can independently manage operational processes, coordinate across teams, and drive efficiency through effective use of CRM, ERP, and business data.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of diamonds, operational workflows, and industry practices, along with the ability to use technology and data to improve decision-making and business performance.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage and coordinate day-to-day operational activities across relevant business functions.
· Ensure smooth flow of orders, inventory, customer requirements, documentation, and internal processes.
· Work extensively with CRM and ERP systems for maintaining accurate and updated business information.
· Monitor operational data and generate meaningful reports to support management decisions.
· Analyse data to identify trends, gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
· Ensure timely and accurate updating of CRM/ERP records and maintain data discipline across teams.
· Coordinate with Sales, Manufacturing, Inventory, Accounts, Logistics, and other internal teams for seamless operations.
· Track orders, stock, pending activities, and critical operational requirements.
· Develop and maintain MIS, dashboards, trackers, and operational reports.
· Identify bottlenecks in processes and proactively recommend solutions.
· Support management with data-backed insights and analysis for operational and business decisions.
· Establish and improve SOPs and operational processes to increase efficiency and accountability.
· Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely execution of operational activities.
· Handle ad-hoc operational and analytical requirements from management.
Industry & Functional Knowledge
· Strong understanding of the diamond industry and diamond business processes.
· Good knowledge of diamond specifications, grading, inventory, pricing, and related terminology.
· Understanding of the end-to-end flow of diamond operations, from inventory to sales/order fulfilment.
· Experience working with diamond-related ERP/CRM systems will be an advantage.
Must-Have Skills
· 5–8 years of relevant experience in the diamond/Jewellery industry.
· Strong hands-on experience with CRM and ERP systems.
· Ability to effectively work with and interpret data.
· Strong Excel and MIS reporting skills.
· Excellent coordination and follow-up skills.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
· High attention to detail and accuracy.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
· Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
· A proactive approach with the ability to identify problems and find practical solutions.
