Vice President – Compliance

Role Description
We are seeking a strategic, ethical, and detail-oriented Vice President – Compliance to lead and oversee the organization’s compliance framework, policies, and regulatory requirements. The role is responsible for strengthening compliance standards, identifying potential regulatory risks, and ensuring business activities are conducted in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, internal policies, and industry standards.
Key responsibilities include developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive compliance policies, procedures, and controls. You will monitor regulatory developments, assess their potential impact on the organization, and provide guidance to senior management on compliance matters and emerging risks.
The role involves overseeing compliance monitoring, risk assessments, internal reviews, investigations, and reporting activities. You will work closely with legal, risk management, finance, operations, and other business functions to identify compliance gaps and implement appropriate corrective actions.
You will also support the development of compliance training and awareness programs, maintain effective reporting mechanisms, and ensure significant compliance matters are escalated appropriately. The position requires strong judgment, independence, confidentiality, and the ability to communicate complex regulatory requirements clearly to senior stakeholders.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, Compliance, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of corporate governance, regulatory compliance, risk management, and internal control frameworks.
Strong understanding of applicable laws, regulations, industry standards, and regulatory expectations.
Excellent analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
Strong ability to develop and implement compliance policies, procedures, and control frameworks.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong stakeholder management abilities.
Ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and translate them into practical business processes.
Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making capabilities.
High level of integrity, professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical judgment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office or relevant compliance and risk management systems.
Ability to work effectively with senior management, regulators, auditors, legal teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.
Professional certifications such as CAMS, CCEP, CRCM, ICA, or relevant compliance qualifications are an advantage.
