About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Analyst to join our client's team on a full-time basis. The Cyber Security Analyst will be responsible for monitoring security events, analyzing threats, and implementing measures to safeguard organizational systems and data. Qualifications
The successful candidate should possess a combination of technical expertise and problem-solving skills, including:
Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools such as Splunk, QRadar, or similar platforms.
Knowledge of network security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
Familiarity with vulnerability assessment tools like Nessus, OpenVAS, or Qualys.
Understanding of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls.
Strong analytical skills to interpret logs and network traffic for anomalies and threats.
Experience in incident response procedures and best practices.
Excellent problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a remote setting.
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are preferred.
Responsibilities
The Cyber Security Analyst will be responsible for a range of security functions, including:
Monitoring and analyzing security events from various sources, including SIEM tools, firewalls, and IDS/IPS systems.
Investigating security incidents to determine their scope, impact, and root cause.
Implementing and maintaining security controls to mitigate risks and prevent future incidents.
Conducting vulnerability assessments and recommending remediation actions to strengthen security posture.
Preparing detailed incident reports, documenting findings, actions taken, and recommendations for future prevention.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure security policies and procedures are followed.
Staying updated on the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.
Participating in security audits and compliance activities as required.
