About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled IT Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, supporting, and enhancing our extensive IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. Your expertise will directly contribute to the operational readiness of the Bundeswehr by providing innovative solutions, troubleshooting complex issues, and implementing new technologies. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on critical national security projects within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment, supporting the ongoing digital transformation efforts of the Bundeswehr.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in information technology, with a minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in IT support, network administration, or related fields. A relevant degree in computer science, information systems, or a comparable discipline is required. Certifications such as Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Security+, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) are highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, a proactive approach to work, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. Fluency in German is mandatory, and proficiency in English is preferred to facilitate communication within our international teams.
Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include managing and maintaining the IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and security systems to ensure continuous operational availability. You will troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues promptly, implement security protocols to protect sensitive data, and support system upgrades and migrations. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative IT solutions aligned with organizational goals. Documenting system configurations, procedures, and incident reports will be essential to maintain transparency and facilitate ongoing support. You will also participate in security audits and compliance activities to uphold the highest standards of cybersecurity and data integrity.
