Merchandiser

Key Responsibilities
Handle buyer orders from development stage through final shipment.
Communicate with buyers regarding styles, specifications, prices, approvals, and delivery schedules.
Coordinate sampling, fabric, trims, accessories, and other requirements.
Prepare and maintain order sheets, Time & Action (T&A) calendars, and production follow-up reports.
Follow up with fabric and trims suppliers to ensure timely availability.
Coordinate with production, cutting, finishing, and packing departments.
Monitor production progress and ensure delivery schedules are achieved.
Check and follow up on sample approvals, lab dips, strike-offs, fit samples, PP samples, and size sets.
Coordinate with the quality team to ensure products meet buyer specifications and quality standards.
Prepare costing and support price negotiations when required.
Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, approvals, specifications, and shipment details.
Identify production or delivery issues and coordinate with relevant teams for timely resolution.
Coordinate with the commercial and logistics teams for shipment documentation and dispatch.
Ensure all buyer requirements and compliance standards are followed.
Provide regular order status updates to management and buyers.
Required Skills
Good knowledge of garment manufacturing and export merchandising.
Strong understanding of fabrics, trims, garments, construction, and production processes.
Good communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to manage multiple styles/orders simultaneously.
Good knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and email communication.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Good written and verbal English communication.
Qualification
Graduate in Fashion/Apparel, Textile, Merchandising, or a related field preferred.
Relevant experience in garment merchandising will be an advantage.
