Role Description The Senior General Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Lucknow. This role is responsible for overseeing overall plant and business operations, including production planning, process optimization, supply chain coordination, and resource allocation. The Senior General Manager will lead cross-functional teams, set performance targets, review operational metrics, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to meet safety, quality, and cost objectives. Daily responsibilities include supervising department heads, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards, managing budgets, and supporting strategic projects and expansion plans. The role also involves collaborating with senior leadership on business planning, stakeholder engagement, and risk management, while fostering a culture of accountability and professional development.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale industrial or manufacturing operations, preferably in sugar, agribusiness, FMCG, or related sectors.
Strong leadership and people management skills, including team building, performance management, and cross-functional coordination.
Proficiency in operational planning, process improvement, and data-driven decision-making to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Sound understanding of compliance, safety standards, quality management, and risk mitigation in a plant or factory environment.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills for working with internal teams, suppliers, and external partners.
Ability to manage budgets, analyze financial performance, and contribute to strategic and business planning initiatives.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Management, or a related field; advanced management qualifications are an advantage.
Experience in working in North India or similar regional contexts is beneficial; familiarity with local regulatory and industry practices is a plus.
