Role Description
The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for managing HR operations for Antony Waste’s Byculla and Navi Mumbai locations. This is a full-time, on-site role focused on managing the complete employee lifecycle and ensuring smooth HR support for the operational workforce.
The role will have a strong focus on Industrial Relations, Employee Relations, Union Handling, Payroll, Employee Grievances, HR Operations and Employee Engagement. The HR Manager will work closely with the Operations and Business teams to manage manpower requirements, resolve employee-related issues and maintain positive employee relations across the locations.
The position will also be responsible for labour law compliance, contract labour matters, disciplinary processes, attendance and payroll coordination, employee communication and implementation of company HR policies and processes.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day HR operations for the Byculla and Navi Mumbai locations.
Handle Industrial Relations (IR) and Employee Relations (ER) matters and maintain healthy workplace relations.
Manage union-related matters, including discussions, negotiations and day-to-day coordination.
Handle employee grievances and ensure timely and appropriate resolution of workplace issues.
Coordinate monthly payroll activities, including attendance, leave, overtime, incentives and other payroll inputs.
Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws, statutory requirements and company HR policies.
Handle disciplinary matters, domestic enquiries, show-cause notices and other employee relations cases.
Work closely with Operations for manpower planning, deployment and workforce requirements.
Manage employee joining, onboarding, transfers, promotions and exit processes.
Monitor absenteeism, attrition, manpower availability and other workforce-related matters.
Manage contract labour-related HR activities and coordinate with contractors on manpower and compliance matters.
Drive employee engagement activities and improve employee communication at the locations.
Maintain HR records, MIS and employee-related reports.
Coordinate with government and labour authorities whenever required.
Support management in implementing HR policies, processes and employee welfare initiatives.
Identify HR process gaps and support continuous improvement in HR operations.
Qualifications
MBA/PGDM in Human Resources / Personnel Management.
10–15 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in an operations-driven or labour-intensive environment.
Strong experience in IR, ER, Union Handling, Payroll and HR Operations.
Experience in handling blue-collar/workmen employees and large operational manpower.
Good knowledge of Indian labour laws and statutory compliance.
Experience in grievance handling, disciplinary proceedings and employee relations.
Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Good stakeholder management skills with the ability to work closely with Operations and Business teams.
Experience in waste management, infrastructure, manufacturing, logistics, transportation or similar industries will be preferred.
Candidate should be comfortable working on-site and managing HR responsibilities across Byculla and Navi Mumbai locations.
