Role Description The Contract Specialist role is a remote contract position responsible for managing the full lifecycle of contractual agreements. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing, drafting, and editing contracts, ensuring alignment with organizational policies, legal standards, and client requirements. The Contract Specialist will support contract negotiations, identify risks and inconsistencies, and recommend revisions to protect the organization’s interests. This role involves maintaining contract records, tracking key dates and obligations, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve contract-related questions. The Contract Specialist is expected to work independently, meet deadlines consistently, and communicate clearly across multiple projects.
Qualifications
* MUST-HAVE: Demonstrated experience in government contracting, procurement, contract administration, or acquisition support, preferably involving federal, state, or local government contracts.
* MUST-HAVE: Ability to review and analyze RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, Sources Sought notices, SOWs/PWSs, amendments, contract clauses, and solicitation requirements and identify compliance requirements, deadlines, deliverables, and risks.
* MUST-HAVE: Working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and general government procurement processes, including contract modifications, subcontractor documentation, invoicing requirements, and contract closeout.
