We are building a fast-moving technology company and are looking for a sharp, creative Copywriting Intern who can give voice to our product, brand, and community through clear, persuasive writing.
Role Overview
We are looking for a wordsmith with an instinct for hooks, storytelling, and high-converting copy. As a Copywriting Intern, you will work directly with our founders, marketing, and design teams to write engaging copy across social media, landing pages, digital ads, video scripts, product walkthroughs, and user communications.
What You'll Do
Write high-converting ad copy, headlines, and captions across Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and X.
Script short-form videos (Reels, Shorts, TikTok) and promotional video concepts alongside the video editing team.
Craft persuasive copy for landing pages, product announcements, email newsletters, and push notifications.
Develop SAYZO's brand tone of voice, ensuring clarity, consistency, and a distinctive edge across all touchpoints.
Brainstorm campaign hooks, taglines, and creative storytelling angles for organic growth and performance marketing.
Proofread and edit copy across marketing collaterals to ensure crisp grammar, flow, and brand alignment.
Stay on top of internet culture, viral trends, memes, and tech discussions to craft timely, topical copy.
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Mass Communication, Advertising, Marketing, or related fields (or equivalent self-taught writing portfolio).
Exceptional English writing and editing skills with an eye for rhythm, tone, and conciseness.
Strong understanding of what drives clicks, stops thumbs from scrolling, and leads users to take action.
Ability to simplify complex technical or product features into simple, relatable human language.
High speed of execution, openness to direct editorial feedback, and ability to thrive in a startup environment.
A writing portfolio or sample pieces (articles, social posts, scripts, or spec ad copy) are mandatory.
Good to Have
A personal blog, active newsletter (Substack), or established writing presence on LinkedIn/X.
Prior experience writing video scripts, social media copy, or direct-response marketing ads.
Familiarity with modern AI writing tools and prompt engineering (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) to enhance workflow efficiency.
Basic understanding of SEO principles, conversion rate optimization, and A/B testing copy.
Who We're Looking For
Someone who loves words and obsesses over hooks. You should know how to communicate big ideas in few words, cut the corporate fluff, and write copy that makes people stop, read, and convert.
