Role Description The Doctor will provide comprehensive medical care to patients, including conducting examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, making evidence-based diagnoses, and developing appropriate treatment plans. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing outpatient and inpatient cases, performing procedures within the scope of specialization, prescribing medications, and monitoring patient progress. The role involves close collaboration with nursing staff, allied health professionals, and other physicians to ensure coordinated, high-quality care, as well as maintaining accurate medical records and adhering to hospital protocols and regulatory standards. The Doctor will also participate in clinical discussions, case reviews, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives and patient education. This is a full-time, on-site role based at Avatar Hospital in the Greater Kolkata Area.
Qualifications
Recognized medical degree (MBBS or equivalent), with valid medical registration and relevant specialization or residency completion.
Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning abilities, with commitment to evidence-based practice and patient safety.
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating clear communication, collaboration, and respect for diverse perspectives.
Proficiency in maintaining accurate medical documentation and using hospital information systems or electronic health records.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts or on-call duties as required, and to adhere to hospital policies and ethical standards.
Experience in a hospital setting, particularly in the Greater Kolkata Area or similar healthcare environments, is an advantage.
Ongoing interest in professional development, participation in clinical trainings, and keeping current with medical advances.
