Role Description The Accession Officer role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Pune Division. The Accession Officer will be responsible for receiving and verifying patient samples, matching them with requisition forms, and ensuring accurate data entry into the laboratory information system. The role includes labeling and organizing samples, prioritizing urgent tests, and coordinating with clients, phlebotomy, laboratory, and front-desk teams to resolve discrepancies. The Accession Officer will maintain documentation, follow standard operating procedures, uphold quality and safety guidelines, and support timely processing of tests to ensure smooth laboratory operations. The position requires consistent attention to detail, adherence to regulatory requirements, and professional communication with internal teams and, when needed, patients or client representatives.
Qualifications
HSC
DMLT
Strong data entry and documentation skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in handling patient and test information.
Familiarity with laboratory workflows, sample handling procedures, and basic medical terminology relevant to diagnostic services.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with laboratory staff, collection centres, and healthcare partners.
