Export Documentation and Operations - Manager

Role Description The Export Documentation and Operations – Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Kolkata. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end export documentation, including preparation and verification of commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, LC documentation, and shipping documents in line with regulatory and customer requirements. The manager coordinates with shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal production and sales teams to ensure timely dispatch of consignments and smooth export operations. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring shipment schedules, tracking containers, resolving documentation or logistics issues, and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and company policies. The role also involves maintaining accurate records, optimizing operational processes, and providing regular status updates and reports to leadership.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in export documentation and international trade procedures, including familiarity with letters of credit, Incoterms, and customs requirements.
Experience in logistics and supply chain coordination, preferably within textiles, yarns, fabrics, or related manufacturing and export environments.
Proficiency in working with MS Office tools and documentation software; comfort with maintaining digital records and spreadsheets.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in paperwork and compliance.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills for coordinating with cross-functional teams and external partners.
Ability to work independently on-site in Kolkata, handle multiple shipments simultaneously, and make timely operational decisions.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, International Trade, Logistics, or a related field; advanced certifications in export-import management are an advantage.
Prior experience in export operations or documentation management in a managerial or supervisory capacity is strongly preferred.
