HVAC Service Manager

Eligibility Criteria:
Education: Engineering is a must (mechanical and electrical is preferred)
Experience: Minimum 4-5 years of working in technical service management (HVAC industry experience is highly preferred)
Skills: HVAC knowledge, Team Co-ordination, Client Communication, Reporting, Troubleshooting, Resource Management.

Job Summary:
The HVAC Service Manager is responsible for managing the overall HVAC service and maintenance operations, ensuring timely and high-quality service delivery to customers. The role includes supervising service engineers and technicians, managing preventive and breakdown maintenance, handling AMC contracts, resolving customer complaints, controlling service costs, and ensuring achievement of service revenue and profitability targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day HVAC service and maintenance operations.
Plan and monitor preventive maintenance activities for HVAC systems, including VRF/VRV, chillers, AHUs, FCUs, package units, and split/ductable AC systems.
Ensure timely response and resolution of breakdowns and customer complaints as per SLA.
Supervise service engineers, technicians, and subcontractors and allocate jobs effectively.
Monitor team productivity, service quality, attendance, and performance.
Diagnose recurring technical issues and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to minimize repeat breakdowns.
Ensure proper execution and monitoring of Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC).
Maintain strong relationships with customers and ensure high customer satisfaction.
Prepare service quotations, estimates, work orders, job cards, and service reports.
Coordinate with OEMs, vendors, and suppliers for technical support, spare parts, and equipment-related issues.
Monitor spare parts and consumable inventory and control service-related expenses.
Ensure achievement of service revenue, AMC renewal, and profitability targets.
Monitor equipment downtime, response time, first-time fix rate, and service TAT.
Ensure compliance with company SOPs, safety standards, and statutory requirements.
Conduct technical training and skill development programs for service personnel.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports and present service performance to management.
Identify opportunities for service improvement, AMC renewal, and additional business.
Ensure all service activities are completed safely, efficiently, and within the agreed timeline.
Required Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
Good team leadership and manpower management skills.
Strong customer handling and communication skills.
Good planning, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of AMC/service operations and commercial aspects.
Ability to manage multiple service projects and priorities.
Good knowledge of MS Office and service/MIS reporting.
Strong focus on safety, quality, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
