Senior Accountant

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee accounting operations, ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records, manage statutory compliance, and support financial reporting and closing activities. The ideal candidate should possess strong accounting knowledge, analytical skills, and hands-on experience in statutory compliance and financial management.
Roles & Responsibilities
* Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and transaction recording.
* Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including invoicing, collections, vendor payments, and account reconciliation.
* Prepare and review financial statements, MIS reports, schedules, and other financial reports.
* Handle and ensure timely compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other applicable statutory requirements.
* Coordinate with internal and external auditors and provide necessary financial records, schedules, and supporting documentation.
* Conduct regular bank, ledger, vendor, customer, and inter-company reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
* Lead and support month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate closure of accounts.
* Monitor accounting controls and recommend improvements in financial processes, policies, and procedures.
* Ensure proper maintenance of accounting records and compliance with applicable accounting standards, laws, and regulations.
* Monitor petty cash transactions and ensure proper documentation and reconciliation.
* Assist in budgeting, financial analysis, forecasting, and preparation of management reports to support business decision-making.
* Review financial data for accuracy, identify variances, and provide relevant insights to management.
* Maintain confidentiality and integrity of financial and business information.
* Support the finance team in implementing efficient accounting and reporting processes.
Qualifications & Skills
* B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) preferred.
* ICWA/ICAI Intermediate qualification will be an added advantage.
* Minimum 3–7 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and statutory compliance.
* Hands-on experience with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and related compliance requirements.
* Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally and/or Odoo.
* Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and financial reporting tools.
* Strong analytical, reconciliation, problem-solving, and numerical skills.
* Good communication and coordination skills with internal teams, management, auditors, vendors, and other stakeholders.
* Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and take ownership of accounting functions.
