LEAD AUDITOR ISCC (INTERNATIONAL SUSTAINABILITY AND CARBON CERTIFICATION) – FREELANCE
Location: Switzerland (with flexible operational base)

ROLE DESCRIPTION
We are seeking expert Lead Auditors ISCC to conduct sustainability and certification audits at clients in Switzerland. The position requires full autonomy in managing ISCC audits, multilingual communication skills and deep knowledge of sustainable certification systems, supply chain traceability and regulatory compliance.
The professional will operate as an independent consultant, ensuring high-quality audits, verification of compliance with ISCC criteria, identification of non-conformities and formulation of strategic recommendations for improving sustainability performance.
REQUIREMENTS
Education
Degree in Engineering (Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical, Civil) or related disciplines
Lead Auditor ISCC Certification (mandatory)
Lead Auditor ISO 9001 or ISO 14001 Certification (preferred)
Experience
Minimum 3-5 years as Lead Auditor ISCC with industrial clients
Experience conducting audits in Swiss or European organizations
Knowledge of sectors: biomass, biofuels, sustainable chemicals, food and beverage
Experience in supply chain traceability and mass balance
Experience in identification and management of non-conformities
Technical Competencies
Deep knowledge of ISCC Standards (ISCC PLUS, ISCC EU)
Knowledge of EU sustainability regulations
Competence in ESG analysis and sustainability criteria
Languages
Italian and/or French and/or German (fluent – at least one language mandatory)
English (preferred)
Transversal Competencies
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Problem-solving and critical thinking
Autonomy and responsibility
Results and client orientation
Flexibility and adaptability to different contexts
Professional integrity and confidentiality
WORKING CONDITIONS
Hours: Flexible, with possible audit requirements during client business hours
