Role Description The Jewellery Designer Faculty role is a full-time hybrid position based in Singur, with some flexibility for work from home as appropriate. The faculty member will design and deliver coursework in jewellery design, including demonstrations, studio sessions, and critiques of student work. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, teaching design principles, guiding students in drawing and CAD, and mentoring them on creating fashion and product-oriented jewellery collections. The role also involves evaluating assignments, providing constructive feedback, updating course content to reflect current industry trends, and collaborating with colleagues on curriculum development. The faculty member may support workshops, portfolio reviews, and industry interactions to enhance student exposure and employability.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in Jewelry Design and Product Design, with the ability to teach both traditional and contemporary styles.
Candidates should possess strong Drawing skills to support sketching, concept development, and visual communication of design ideas.
Candidates should possess expertise in Fashion Jewelry to guide students in trend-aware, market-ready design collections.
Candidates should possess proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools commonly used in jewellery design and manufacturing.
Relevant academic background in Jewellery Design, Product Design, Fine Arts, Fashion, or a related field.
Prior teaching, training, or mentoring experience, preferably in design or jewellery-focused programs.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse learners.
Organizational skills to manage classes, projects, and assessments, and readiness to work in a hybrid (Singur-based) environment.
Industry experience in jewellery design, manufacturing, or retail will be considered an advantage.
