QUANTITY SURVEYOR (QS ENGINEER)
📍 Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu
💼 Experience: 2–5 Years

Dockside Constructions is looking for a skilled and motivated Quantity Surveyor (QS Engineer) to join our construction team in Chennai.

🔹 Key Responsibilities
• Conduct and verify site measurements as per approved drawings & specifications
• Prepare, maintain and verify Measurement Books (MB)
• Verify executed quantities against approved BOQ
• Prepare and verify RA Bills
• Verify subcontractor bills and claimed quantities
• Monitor BOQ quantities and project progress
• Carry out quantity reconciliation between BOQ, executed and billed quantities
• Identify quantity deviations, discrepancies and overruns
• Prepare Variation Orders (VO) and Extra Item Statements
• Support Cost-to-Complete (CTC) analysis and project cost monitoring
• Coordinate with Project Heads, Site Engineers, QC Engineers, clients/PMC and subcontractors
🔹 Required Skills
✅ Strong knowledge of Quantity Surveying
✅ Hands-on experience in site measurement & quantity verification
✅ Good knowledge of BOQ & Measurement Books
✅ Experience in RA Bill preparation & verification
✅ Experience in subcontractor bill verification
✅ Knowledge of quantity reconciliation & variation management
✅ Knowledge of VO, Extra Items & CTC analysis
✅ Good knowledge of MS Excel
✅ Ability to read and understand construction/civil drawings
✅ Strong communication, coordination and documentation skills
🎓 Qualification
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering or related field.
Experience in Quantity Surveying / Billing / Construction Projects will be preferred.
