Biomedical Engineer – IVF

About the role
Fertility Point Kenya is looking for an experienced Biomedical Engineer – IVF to support the reliable, safe, and efficient operation of critical equipment across our IVF laboratories and operating theatres.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in an IVF/Fertility Centre, with expertise in equipment maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, safety, and vendor coordination.
Key responsibilities
Maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, and ensure the safety of IVF laboratory and OT equipment.
Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance of biomedical equipment.
Coordinate with equipment vendors and service providers for repairs and technical support.
Maintain equipment records, service schedules, calibration reports, and documentation.
Support equipment installation, commissioning, validation, and performance checks.
Identify technical issues and ensure timely resolution to minimize equipment downtime.
Ensure compliance with equipment safety and relevant healthcare standards.
Work closely with IVF laboratory, clinical, and operations teams.
Requirements
Degree/Diploma in Biomedical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in an IVF/Fertility Centre is essential.
Experience with IVF laboratory and OT equipment.
Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills.
Good vendor and equipment management skills.
Multispecialty hospital experience will be an added advantage.
Willingness to work and relocate to Kenya, if required.
