Role Description This is a full-time Import Export Purchase Manager role based in Coimbatore, offered in a hybrid model with some flexibility for work from home. The role involves managing end-to-end import and export purchase activities, including vendor sourcing, price negotiations, and order placement for materials and components related to digital printing machinery. The manager will coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to handle documentation, customs compliance, shipment tracking, and timely delivery. Daily responsibilities include monitoring inventory levels, preparing purchase reports, optimizing costs, and ensuring adherence to relevant trade regulations and company policies. The role also includes maintaining supplier relationships, resolving discrepancies, and supporting continuous improvement in the supply chain and procurement process.
Qualifications
Strong experience in import and export operations, including purchase planning, vendor management, and international logistics.
Knowledge of customs regulations, trade compliance, incoterms, and associated documentation for cross-border transactions.
Skills in negotiation, cost analysis, and contract management to secure favorable pricing and terms.
Proficiency in procurement and inventory management systems, with solid MS Excel and general IT skills.
Ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and make decisions that improve operational efficiency and cost control.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with suppliers, cross-functional teams, and external partners.
Attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and capability to manage multiple orders and deadlines.
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field; prior experience in machinery or manufacturing industries is an advantage.
Comfort working in a hybrid setup in Coimbatore, with a proactive and ethical approach to procurement and trade practices.
