Role Description This is a full-time, Purchasing Executive role based in Kolkata, India. The Purchasing Executive will manage end-to-end purchasing activities, including reviewing purchase requisitions, preparing and processing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and machinery components. The role involves coordinating with suppliers, negotiating prices and terms, maintaining vendor relationships, and monitoring inventory levels to prevent stockouts or overstocking. The individual will also collaborate with internal departments to understand material requirements, track order status, resolve discrepancies with invoices or deliveries, and maintain accurate purchasing records. Adhering to company policies, cost control guidelines, and compliance standards is an important part of the daily responsibilities.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Purchase Management, including handling Purchase Orders and Purchase Requisitions.
Candidates should possess effective Communication and stakeholder coordination skills for working with suppliers and internal teams.
Candidates should possess solid Procurement skills, including vendor evaluation, negotiation, and cost optimization.
Relevant experience in purchasing or supply chain within machinery, manufacturing, or industrial sectors is beneficial.
A diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Ability to work in Kolkata, manage multiple priorities, use basic purchasing software, and maintain accurate documentation is expected.
