Role Description The Personal Security Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Bhadrak, responsible for ensuring the safety and security of designated individuals within the institute premises and during official movements. Day-to-day duties include monitoring surroundings, assessing potential risks, escorting and protecting the assigned individual, and maintaining discreet yet vigilant oversight of their environment. The role involves coordinating with campus security, managing access control for authorized and unauthorized persons, and responding promptly to security incidents or emergencies. The Personal Security Officer will maintain accurate incident logs, follow institutional security protocols, and participate in regular safety drills and briefings. This position requires consistent professional conduct, confidentiality, and the ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.
Qualifications
Strong situational awareness, risk assessment abilities, and knowledge of personal protection practices.
Experience in security, law enforcement, military, or related fields, with familiarity in emergency response procedures.
Good physical fitness, stamina, and ability to stand, walk, and respond quickly over extended periods.
Clear communication skills, including the ability to give concise instructions and coordinate with security and administrative staff.
Demonstrated integrity, reliability, discretion, and respect for privacy and confidentiality.
Ability to remain calm, focused, and solution-oriented in high-pressure or unexpected situations.
Basic knowledge of first aid and emergency medical support is preferred.
Completion of secondary education; advanced training or certifications in security or safety are an advantage.
