Role Description The Asst Production Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Roorkee. This role supports day-to-day production operations, including planning and scheduling workflows, monitoring output against targets, and coordinating with procurement, maintenance, and quality teams to ensure smooth production, and ensures adherence to safety standards, quality requirements, and standard operating procedures. The role involves tracking production metrics, identifying bottlenecks, and assisting in implementing process improvements to reduce downtime and waste. The person in this position also prepares reports, maintains documentation, and supports compliance with regulatory and company policies.
Qualifications
Ability to oversee Sheet Metal & Tubular manufacturing operations, including production planning, line balancing, and coordination with cross-functional teams.
Skills in monitoring performance metrics, analyzing data, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in a factory setting.
Knowledge of quality control practices, standard operating procedures, and basic troubleshooting of production-related issues.
Strong organizational, time management, and documentation skills to manage schedules, reports, and production records.
Effective communication and team leadership abilities to guide staff, delegate tasks, and maintain a collaborative work environment.
Understanding of workplace safety standards and willingness to promote safe practices and compliance with regulations.
Relevant academic background, such as a diploma or degree in engineering, production management, or a related field.
Prior experience in manufacturing or production supervision is preferred; familiarity with Roorkee or nearby industrial areas is an advantage.
