We are looking for an experienced Real Estate Development Director to support development strategy, evaluate opportunities, and coordinate initiatives that contribute to sustainable business growth.
The Role
As Real Estate Development Director, you will provide strategic leadership across real estate development activities, from opportunity identification and feasibility assessment through planning, execution, and stakeholder coordination. You will work closely with internal teams, investors, consultants, and external partners to help transform viable opportunities into well-structured development initiatives.
This part-time, fully remote position offers flexibility while providing meaningful involvement in strategic projects, market expansion, investment analysis, and development planning.
Key Responsibilities
Lead real estate development strategies aligned with business and investment objectives.
Identify and evaluate potential development, acquisition, and investment opportunities.
Review market conditions, property trends, financial assumptions, and development potential.
Oversee feasibility assessments, development concepts, and preliminary project planning.
Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, investors, and other external stakeholders.
Support project budgeting, timelines, risk assessments, and commercial planning.
Develop business cases, investment proposals, presentations, and strategic recommendations.
Monitor development activities and provide management-level updates on progress and risks.
Build and maintain relationships with property owners, investors, partners, and industry professionals.
Identify opportunities for portfolio growth, market expansion, and long-term value creation.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, Construction, Urban Planning, or a related field preferred.
3+ years of professional experience in real estate development, property investment, development consulting, or a related field preferred.
Strong understanding of real estate development processes, property markets, and commercial considerations.
Knowledge of feasibility analysis, development planning, budgeting, and project evaluation.
Familiarity with property acquisition, investment analysis, and development opportunity assessment.
Strong commercial awareness and ability to evaluate opportunities from multiple perspectives.
Excellent project coordination, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
Proficiency in preparing reports, business cases, presentations, and strategic documentation.
Ability to manage multiple development initiatives and priorities in a remote environment.
Strategic mindset with strong negotiation, problem-solving, leadership, and decision-support capabilities.
