Role Description The Steel Detailer will be responsible for preparing accurate shop drawings and erection plans for steel structures, based on architectural and structural design documents. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting engineering specifications, creating detailed connection and member drawings, generating material lists, and coordinating with design, fabrication, and site teams to resolve technical queries. The role involves checking drawings for compliance with relevant codes and standards, updating documents to reflect design changes, and ensuring that deliverables are submitted within project timelines. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Gurugram, requiring close collaboration with engineers and project managers to support smooth fabrication and installation.
Qualifications
Strong skills in structural detailing using CAD or BIM software (e.g., AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, or similar tools).
Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings, specifications, and relevant codes.
Attention to detail and accuracy in preparing shop drawings, erection drawings, and bills of material.
Effective communication and collaboration skills for coordinating with engineering, fabrication, and site teams.
Good organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline; prior experience in steel detailing is an advantage.
Familiarity with industry standards and safety practices in steel building design and fabrication.
