Role Description The Financial Planning and Analysis Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, responsible for driving financial insights that support strategic and operational decision-making. In this position, the manager prepares and reviews budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans, and analyzes variances against actual performance. Daily responsibilities include building and maintaining financial models, tracking key performance indicators, and preparing management reports and presentations. The role also partners with cross-functional teams to evaluate business cases, assess investment opportunities, and identify cost optimization and margin improvement initiatives. This individual is expected to streamline FP&A processes, support monthly and quarterly close activities with analytical commentary, and contribute to strong financial governance across the company.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Financial Planning and Finance skills, with the ability to support strategic and operational decisions.
Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills, including proficiency in interpreting data, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights.
Candidates should possess Financial Modeling skills to build, maintain, and improve models for scenarios, valuations, and performance tracking.
Candidates should possess Budgeting & Forecasting skills to manage annual plans, rolling forecasts, and variance analysis.
Relevant qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; a master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CA, CFA, CIMA, MBA) is an advantage.
Proficiency in Excel and financial planning tools; familiarity with ERP systems and business intelligence or reporting tools is beneficial.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and explain financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to work on-site in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high standards of accuracy and integrity.
