Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Jamshedpur for an ABM PNK CNC & CNC 650 Operator – Maintenance & Quality. The role involves operating ABM PNK and CNC 650 machines, setting up parameters, loading materials, and monitoring production to meet shift targets and product specifications. The professional will be responsible for routine machine checks, preventive maintenance, and coordinating with the maintenance team to minimize downtime. Daily tasks include inspecting components, measuring dimensions, documenting quality checks, and ensuring compliance with company quality standards. The role also requires maintaining production records, following safety procedures, and collaborating with supervisors and colleagues to optimize machine performance and workflow.
Qualifications
Strong experience in operating CNC machines, preferably ABM PNK and CNC 650, with understanding of machine setup and parameter settings.
Ability to perform basic mechanical maintenance, identify faults, and coordinate repairs to reduce machine downtime.
Knowledge of quality inspection methods, use of measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers), and adherence to quality standards.
Familiarity with production workflows, shop floor documentation, and safe material handling practices.
Attention to detail, ability to follow technical instructions, and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
Minimum of a vocational/technical diploma or ITI in Mechanical, Fitter, Machinist, or related trade; prior experience in a manufacturing plant is highly beneficial.
Willingness to work in shifts, collaborate with diverse team members, and continuously learn new machine operations and processes.
