Postdoctoral Researcher – AI & IoT
GAO Group & Aperture Venture Studio are seeking recent PhD graduates and early-career researchers for a paid, full-time Postdoctoral Researcher position focused on Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things technologies.

Location: Remote
The programme focuses on IoT systems, intelligent connected devices, edge computing, sensing, and AI-enabled systems, with opportunities to develop practical prototypes, applications, and potential commercial solutions.
Researchers who successfully complete the one-year programme will receive a Postdoctoral Programme Certificate. Depending on performance, organizational requirements, and mutual interest, there may also be opportunities for extension or transition into longer-term research or technical roles.

Key Responsibilities
• Conduct applied research in IoT and AI-enabled IoT systems
• Investigate emerging IoT technologies, architectures, and applications
• Design and develop IoT prototypes and proof-of-concept systems
• Work with sensors, connected devices, gateways, edge and cloud platforms
• Explore AI/ML applications for IoT-generated data
• Conduct experiments and evaluate system performance
• Develop technical demonstrations for real-world applications
• Contribute to research papers, technical reports, and other research outputs
• Explore technology development and commercialization opportunities
• Collaborate with researchers, engineers, and industry professionals
Eligibility
Applicants should have a PhD or be in the final year of a PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, IoT, Robotics, AI/ML, Embedded Systems, or a closely related STEM field.
Candidates with strong IoT expertise and working knowledge of AI are particularly encouraged to apply.
Experience in areas such as Python, C/C++, embedded systems, sensors, wireless communications, IoT platforms, edge/cloud computing, computer vision, digital twins, or robotics will be valuable.
