Role Description The Assistant Team Leader is a full-time, on-site role based in Hosur, responsible for supporting day-to-day operations in a fast-paced logistics environment. The role involves supervising a team of associates, monitoring shift performance, and ensuring adherence to operational processes and safety standards. The Assistant Team Leader will coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, manage load planning, track daily productivity, and escalate operational issues when needed. This position will also handle basic reporting, collaborate with cross-functional teams (such as warehouse, transport, and customer support), and help maintain service-level commitments for timely and accurate deliveries.
Qualifications
Operational management skills, including team supervision, shift planning, and workflow coordination.
Logistics and warehouse operations knowledge, such as handling shipments, inventory movements, and process compliance.
Basic data and reporting skills, including use of spreadsheets or logistics systems to track performance and generate daily reports.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to guide team members, resolve issues, and liaise with internal stakeholders.
Problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address on-ground challenges and maintain service quality.
Ability to work in an on-site, high-activity environment and manage time effectively across multiple operational priorities.
Prior experience in logistics, warehousing, or operations supervision is preferred.
Minimum educational qualification: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (Operations, Supply Chain, or related fields preferred).
