IT Security Analys

Role Description This part-time remote IT Security Analyst role at RT Accompagnement focuses on protecting information systems, networks, and applications from security threats. The IT Security Analyst will monitor security alerts and logs, investigate incidents, and support incident response activities. The role includes performing vulnerability assessments, assisting in the implementation of security controls, and contributing to the development and maintenance of security policies and procedures. The IT Security Analyst will collaborate with IT team members to review system configurations, support audits and compliance efforts, and provide clear documentation and reports on security findings. The position also involves staying current on emerging threats and security best practices to help continuously improve the organization’s security posture.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Cybersecurity and Information Security, with the ability to assess risks and recommend appropriate safeguards.
Knowledge of Network Security and Information Technology, including common network architectures, protocols, and system configurations.
Experience or understanding of Application Security, including secure coding principles and common application vulnerabilities.
Familiarity with security tools (e.g., SIEM, vulnerability scanners, endpoint protection) and basic incident response processes.
Ability to analyze technical information, produce clear documentation, and communicate security issues to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Relevant certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP or equivalent) or progress toward such credentials is an advantage.
Previous experience in an IT or security-related role, and comfort working independently in a remote environment.
