Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Purchase Manager role based in Bengaluru South. The Purchase Manager will oversee end-to-end procurement activities, including vendor identification, evaluation, and selection for electronic, mechanical, and embedded system components. The role involves negotiating pricing and contracts, managing purchase orders, monitoring delivery schedules, and ensuring materials meet quality, cost, and timeline requirements for prototyping and manufacturing. The Purchase Manager will collaborate closely with engineering, production, finance, and project management teams to forecast material needs, optimize inventory, and support new product introductions. Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining supplier databases, tracking procurement metrics, resolving supply chain issues, and contributing to continuous improvement of purchasing processes and policies.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong procurement and supply chain skills, including vendor management, negotiation, purchase order management, and inventory control.
Candidates should possess knowledge of electronics and mechanical components relevant to product engineering, including familiarity with PCB assemblies, hardware parts, and fabrication processes.
Candidates should possess skills in cost analysis, budgeting, and basic financial acumen to support cost optimization and contract evaluation.
Candidates should possess planning and coordination skills, including demand forecasting, material planning, and cross-functional collaboration.
Candidates should possess documentation and compliance skills, including maintaining records, adhering to company policies, and supporting quality and regulatory requirements.
Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, business, or a related field, and experience in manufacturing or high-tech product environments are beneficial.
Strong communication skills, proficiency with ERP or procurement software, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, innovation-driven setting are highly desirable.
