Role Description This full-time, on-site but hybrid role is based in Mumbai and focuses on growing Antaryatra Experiences’ Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Special Events portfolio. We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Business Development & Operations Specialist to expand our Corporate MICE portfolio and manage end-to-end backend administrative execution. This dual role combines strategic client acquisition, pitching, and solution design with back-of-house operations, vendor management, and event logistics.The role involves identifying and cultivating corporate and institutional clients, designing tailored MICE offerings aligned with the company’s transformative travel philosophy, and managing the end-to-end business development cycle. Daily responsibilities include prospecting and lead generation, conducting market research, preparing proposals and presentations, and maintaining a strong sales pipeline. The position requires regular client meetings, negotiation of contracts, collaboration with internal teams to deliver high-quality events, and consistent follow-up to ensure client satisfaction and repeat business.
Business Development & Pitching
Identify, target, and acquire new corporate clients for domestic and international MICE events.
Develop custom pitching decks, tailored event concepts, and competitive proposals based on client briefs and budgets.
Conduct pitch presentations to C-suite executives, HR heads, and corporate procurement teams.
Maintain a healthy sales pipeline, track leads through CRM, and achieve quarterly revenue targets.
Build long-term relationships with key accounts to secure recurring annual event business.
Backend & Administrative Operations
Oversee end-to-end event execution post-pitch conversion, serving as the central point of contact between clients and external vendors.
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, SLAs, and pricing structures with venues, airlines, DMC partners, and local vendors.
Manage booking systems, ticketing workflows, rooming lists, visa assistance protocols, and delegate registration databases.
Prepare precise cost sheets, track budget utilization, and manage invoicing, billing reconciliation, and vendor payments.
Coordinate logistical timelines, run-sheets, and risk management plans to ensure seamless on-ground or virtual execution.
Qualifications & Key Requirements
Experience: 3–6 years in B2B corporate sales, MICE management, corporate travel, or event management operations.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality, Marketing, Event Management, or a related field.
Skills:
Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to build relationships, understand client needs, and provide responsive support.
Proficiency in Lead Generation and Market Research to identify opportunities, assess demand, and develop targeted outreach strategies.
Ability to work on-site in Mumbai, manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Proven record of pitching and closing high-value corporate MICE deals.
Strong operational, contract management, and financial reconciliation capabilities.
Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Excel (advanced), PowerPoint, and corporate travel booking platforms.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client-facing and vendor negotiations.
