Role Description The Community Outreach Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in the Pune Division. This position is responsible for planning and executing outreach initiatives that connect underserved communities with the foundation’s mobile healthcare services. Day-to-day tasks include organizing community events, coordinating with local leaders and partner organizations, managing volunteer activities, and conducting field visits to identify healthcare needs. The coordinator will develop and distribute informational materials, maintain accurate records of outreach efforts, and gather feedback from community members to improve program delivery. This role also involves collaborating closely with healthcare teams and administrative staff to ensure that outreach activities align with the foundation’s mission and operational goals.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Interpersonal Skills and Cooperation abilities to build trust and effective working relationships with diverse community members and partners.
Candidates should possess clear and empathetic Communication skills to convey health information and program details in an accessible and culturally sensitive manner.
Candidates should possess Community Outreach experience, including planning and implementing outreach campaigns, community meetings, and awareness drives.
Candidates should possess Volunteer Management skills to recruit, train, coordinate, and support volunteers in field and event activities.
Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in social work, public health, community development, or a related field are preferred.
Experience working with non-profit organizations or in rural and underserved urban communities is beneficial.
Ability to travel within the Pune Division, work flexibly in the field, and maintain accurate documentation and reports.
Proficiency in local languages and basic computer skills (email, spreadsheets, documentation tools) will be an advantage.
