Role Description This is a Part-time, Hybrid -site Intern for Business Development role based in Mumbai. The intern will support business development activities by conducting market research, identifying potential clients, and assisting with lead generation initiatives across target regions and industries. Day-to-day responsibilities include researching prospects, maintaining lead databases, coordinating with internal teams to understand product offerings, and preparing presentations and reports for client outreach. The intern will help respond to client inquiries, support basic customer service tasks, and contribute to follow-ups that strengthen long-term business relationships. The role also involves learning and applying SIMEX Global’s approach to international trade, gathering insights on customer needs, and supporting the development of new business opportunities.
Qualifications
Strong Analytical Skills and the ability to perform structured Market Research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential clients.
Effective Communication skills for professional email, phone, and in-person interactions, and for preparing clear presentations and reports.
Lead Generation capabilities, including prospect identification, qualification, and basic sales pipeline support.
Customer Service skills to assist with inquiries, provide timely information, and maintain positive client relationships.
Interest in international trade, global sourcing, and B2B marketing, preferably with exposure to business, commerce, or related fields.
Proficiency in MS Office or similar productivity tools; familiarity with CRM or sales tracking tools is an advantage.
Ability to work on-site in Mumbai, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Management, Marketing, International Trade, or a related discipline is preferred.
