Graphic Designer – Flexible Packaging and Prepress

About the Role
We are looking for a Graphic Designer with hands-on knowledge of flexographic and rotogravure prepress to join our packaging team.
The ideal candidate will combine strong graphic design skills with technical packaging knowledge, ensuring that designs are not only visually appealing but also production-ready for printing.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and adapt packaging artwork, pouch designs, labels and other print creatives.
- Prepare print-ready artwork for flexo and rotogravure printing.
- Handle prepress activities including separations, trapping, overprinting, bleed, dielines, colour specifications and artwork corrections.
- Understand CMYK, Pantone/spot colours, colour separation and colour management for packaging printing.
- Coordinate with clients to understand artwork requirements and resolve design/prepress issues.
- Coordinate with the prepress, printing and production teams to ensure smooth execution of jobs.
- Review artwork for technical feasibility, printability and colour accuracy before sending it for production.
- Make corrections and modifications based on proofs, press requirements and client feedback.
- Maintain proper artwork files, versions and production records.
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; knowledge of CorelDRAW is an advantage.
- Practical understanding of flexographic and rotogravure printing processes.
- Knowledge of packaging prepress and print production.
- Understanding of colour separation, trapping, overprint, halftones, screens and print specifications.
- Ability to interpret dielines and packaging structures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify technical artwork errors.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
Preferred Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in graphic design/prepress, preferably in flexible packaging, labels or printing.
- Candidates with experience working directly with flexo or rotogravure packaging artwork will be preferred.
