About EonForge Apex
EonForge Apex builds geothermal power systems that turn low-temperature industrial heat into continuous baseload electricity, without relying on solar, wind or battery storage. The technology pairs a Nitinol-based thermal engine with magnetohydrodynamic generation to reach heat sources conventional systems cannot use. After three years of R&D and a published patent application now under examination, EonForge is moving toward a 50kW prototype to validate performance at commercial scale and begin pilot deployments with industrial partners in India. Deployment is zero-CAPEX through power purchase agreements, so industrial customers get reliable clean power with no upfront investment.
The role
You will design, build and refine the hardware that connects the Nitinol thermal engine to the generation side, with reliability, efficiency and scalability as the working constraints. Day to day that means circuit and electronics design, simulation and prototyping, testing and validation of hardware modules, and clear documentation of design specs and test results. You will work closely with thermal, materials and power systems engineers to sharpen the architecture, debug what breaks, and get hardware ready for prototype and pilot deployment. You will also take part in design reviews, safety and compliance work, and steady improvement of how we develop hardware.
What we're looking for
- Strong hardware development and computer hardware skills for power and industrial systems
- Solid circuit design and electronics hardware design across analog, digital and mixed-signal
- Hands-on prototyping, testing, debugging and hardware validation
- Experience with power electronics, sensors and control systems in energy or industrial settings is a plus
- Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering or a related field preferred
- Able to work well in a remote, cross-functional team, with clear written and verbal communication
- Familiarity with CAD and simulation tools (PCB design, circuit simulation) and standard lab instrumentation is an advantage
- Experience with hardware safety standards, reliability engineering or industrial deployment environments is a plus
What this is
This is an unpaid, equity-only role while EonForge Apex is pre-revenue. You would take real ownership of the hardware architecture, from design through to a working prototype, and hold equity in the company for it. We are not going to pretend that is the same as a salary, and we would rather say it up front than have you find out later.
If you are early in your career, between roles, or building something of your own and want a serious hardware problem to sink into, this is a real one. If you need income now, this is not the right fit and we would rather you know that today.
