Role Description This is a full-time, hybrid Assistant Junior Engineer role based in Delhi, with some work-from-home flexibility. The Assistant Junior Engineer will support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of infrastructure and facility upgrades across designated heritage sites. Daily responsibilities may include assisting in site inspections, collecting technical data, coordinating with contractors and vendors, and helping prepare basic engineering drawings, reports, and documentation. The role involves supporting maintenance planning, tracking project progress, and ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards in collaboration with senior engineers and project managers. The Assistant Junior Engineer will also help coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve operational issues and ensure smooth execution of heritage conservation and visitor facility projects.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess foundational technical skills in civil or structural engineering, including basic knowledge of construction materials, methods, and site supervision.
Candidates should possess skills in project coordination and documentation, such as maintaining records, preparing status reports, and assisting with drawings or layouts using standard tools.
Candidates should possess skills in using productivity and collaboration tools, such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email communication, and basic digital documentation platforms.
Candidates should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and heritage site stakeholders.
Candidates should possess problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with a focus on safety, quality, and compliance with relevant guidelines and regulations.
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline from a recognized institution is preferred.
Prior internship or entry-level experience in infrastructure, construction, or heritage conservation projects will be an advantage.
Interest in heritage conservation, sustainable development, and responsible tourism will be considered beneficial.
