The Role
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise PMO Manager to lead enterprise project-management governance, portfolio management, standards, reporting, resource coordination, risk management, and delivery oversight across strategic programs and projects.
The ideal candidate will establish a mature enterprise PMO framework that provides leadership with visibility into project portfolios, investment priorities, delivery performance, risks, dependencies, resources, benefits, and overall organizational capacity.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement the enterprise PMO strategy, operating model, governance framework, standards, and methodologies.
Establish consistent project, program, and portfolio-management practices across the organization.
Align enterprise project portfolios with corporate strategy, business priorities, budgets, and transformation objectives.
Develop project and program governance structures, decision rights, approval processes, and escalation mechanisms.
Establish enterprise project-management policies, procedures, templates, standards, and controls.
Define project lifecycle stages, stage-gate requirements, approval criteria, and governance checkpoints.
Establish portfolio intake, prioritization, evaluation, approval, and initiation processes.
Assess proposed initiatives based on strategic alignment, value, cost, risk, capacity, dependencies, and expected benefits.
Maintain a centralized enterprise project and program portfolio.
Develop portfolio dashboards covering scope, schedule, cost, resources, risks, issues, dependencies, and benefits.
Monitor project and program performance against approved baselines, milestones, budgets, and objectives.
Identify projects at risk and coordinate appropriate recovery, escalation, and corrective-action plans.
Establish consistent project status-reporting requirements and executive reporting standards.
Consolidate project and program information into accurate and timely portfolio-level insights.
Prepare executive and board-level portfolio reports, presentations, dashboards, and decision papers where applicable.
Coordinate regular portfolio reviews with executive leadership, sponsors, project managers, and business-unit leaders.
Establish project sponsorship and accountability frameworks.
Support project sponsors with governance, decision-making, escalation, and project-health information.
Establish project initiation requirements including business cases, objectives, scope, benefits, budgets, risks, resources, and delivery plans.
Review project business cases and challenge assumptions, estimates, dependencies, and delivery approaches.
Coordinate investment and prioritization decisions with Strategy and Finance teams.
Maintain enterprise project calendars and milestone schedules.
Identify cross-project dependencies, resource conflicts, sequencing issues, and portfolio constraints.
Coordinate resource planning and capacity management across major projects and programs.
Monitor demand for project managers, technical specialists, business resources, and external consultants.
Identify resource bottlenecks and recommend prioritization or allocation changes.
Establish project financial-management standards covering budgets, forecasts, actuals, commitments, and variance reporting.
Monitor capital and operating expenditure associated with enterprise projects.
Track project financial performance and identify cost pressures, forecast changes, and funding requirements.
Coordinate with Finance to ensure project financial information is accurate and consistently reported.
Establish enterprise project risk and issue-management frameworks.
Maintain portfolio-level risk and issue registers and monitor critical exposures.
Identify systemic risks and recurring delivery issues across projects.
Coordinate escalation and resolution of major project risks, issues, and dependencies.
Establish change-control and scope-management standards for enterprise initiatives.
Monitor significant scope changes, change requests, and impacts on cost, schedule, resources, and benefits.
Ensure major changes are appropriately assessed, approved, documented, and communicated.
Establish benefits-management frameworks covering expected benefits, owners, baselines, targets, timelines, and realization tracking.
Monitor strategic benefits and ensure projects remain focused on measurable business outcomes.
Coordinate post-implementation reviews and benefits-realization assessments.
Establish project quality-management and assurance practices.
Conduct project health checks, governance reviews, readiness assessments, and delivery audits.
Identify opportunities to improve project planning, execution, governance, and organizational capability.
Develop project-management maturity assessments and improvement roadmaps.
Establish training, coaching, and capability-development programs for project managers, program managers, project teams, and sponsors.
Promote consistent use of project-management methodologies, tools, templates, and governance practices.
Manage the enterprise project-management platform and ensure appropriate adoption and data quality.
Coordinate integration between PMO systems and ERP, Finance, HR, procurement, risk, and business-intelligence platforms.

Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate should have strong experience in enterprise PMO management, portfolio management, program management, project governance, transformation management, strategic execution, or enterprise delivery, preferably within a complex, international, or multi-business organization.
The candidate should demonstrate:
Proven experience establishing or managing an enterprise PMO.
Strong understanding of project, program, and portfolio-management methodologies.
Experience developing PMO governance frameworks, standards, policies, and operating models.
Strong knowledge of portfolio prioritization, investment governance, resource planning, and strategic alignment.
Experience managing enterprise project portfolios with multiple concurrent initiatives.
Strong understanding of project financial management, budgets, forecasting, and investment analysis.
Experience managing project risks, issues, dependencies, changes, and escalations.
Strong benefits-management and value-realization capabilities.
Experience conducting project health checks, governance reviews, and delivery assurance.
Strong understanding of project lifecycle, stage gates, business cases, and executive governance.
Experience implementing or managing project-management platforms and enterprise reporting systems.
Strong analytical and portfolio-reporting capabilities.
Familiarity with BI dashboards, automation, predictive analytics, and AI-enabled PMO tools.
Strong executive communication, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills.
