Role Description The Volunteer Social Media Manager / Social Media Intern is a full-time remote role responsible for supporting WhisprSpace’s presence across major social media platforms. Day-to-day tasks include planning and publishing posts, monitoring engagement, responding to comments and messages in a professional manner, and maintaining a consistent brand voice that reflects the platform’s focus on authenticity and meaningful conversation. The role involves assisting in content strategy, optimizing social media profiles and posts for reach and engagement, and collaborating with team members to support campaigns and community-building initiatives. The individual will also help track key performance metrics, experiment with new content formats, and provide regular updates and insights to the team.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Social Media Marketing and Social Media Optimization (SMO) to manage, grow, and refine platform presence.
Clear and inclusive Communication and Writing skills to create posts, captions, and responses that align with WhisprSpace’s tone and values.
Ability to contribute to Content Strategy, including planning calendars, aligning content with community interests, and supporting campaign goals.
Familiarity with major social media platforms (e.g., X/Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok) and basic analytics tools.
Demonstrated interest in online communities, digital conversation, or thought leadership spaces.
Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
Ability to collaborate respectfully with a diverse team and communicate across time zones.
Prior experience in social media management, community management, or related roles is beneficial but not required.
