Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Veterinarian role at a 24-hour small animal hospital in Mysuru. The veterinarian will perform clinical examinations, diagnose conditions, prescribe treatments, and manage medical and surgical cases for small animals, including emergency and critical care. Daily responsibilities include conducting consultations, performing diagnostic procedures, overseeing inpatient care, and maintaining accurate medical records. The role involves communicating clearly with pet caregivers about diagnoses, treatment plans, preventive care, and follow-up, while collaborating with veterinary assistants and other staff to ensure safe and efficient hospital operations. The veterinarian is also expected to follow hospital protocols, participate in clinical decision-making, and support continuous improvement of patient care standards.
Qualifications
Ability to manage HR functions related to clinical teams, including Human Resources (HR) practices and Personnel Management.
Experience in HR Management and implementation of HR Policies that support safe, fair, and compliant hospital operations.
Knowledge of Employee Benefits administration and staff welfare in a healthcare or veterinary setting.
Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science (BVSc or equivalent) from a recognized institution; advanced training or specialization in small animal practice is an advantage.
Valid veterinary registration/license as required by local regulatory authorities.
Clinical competence in small animal medicine, surgery, and emergency care, with strong diagnostic and decision-making skills.
Clear, empathetic communication skills for interactions with pet caregivers and team members, and the ability to work in a 24-hour hospital environment, including shift-based duties.
