Strategy Analyst

Role Description The Strategy Analyst will support the OSE-WPS team by conducting research and data analysis to inform strategic initiatives on women, peace, and security. This part-time remote role involves assessing policy frameworks, monitoring regional trends, and preparing strategic briefs, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. The Strategy Analyst will collaborate with team members to develop evidence-based recommendations, support planning and evaluation of programs, and contribute to scenario analysis and risk assessments related to peace and security. The role also includes synthesizing information from diverse sources, ensuring alignment with AU and UN frameworks, and supporting communication of strategic insights to partners and decision-makers.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and Data Analytics capabilities to interpret complex information and generate evidence-based insights.
Candidates should possess advanced Strategic Planning skills to support the design, implementation, and evaluation of initiatives on women, peace, and security.
Candidates should possess clear and effective Communication skills, including the ability to prepare concise reports, briefs, and presentations for diverse audiences.
Candidates should possess foundational knowledge of Finance or budgeting to support basic analysis of program resources and cost-effectiveness, where required.
Relevant qualifications such as a degree in International Relations, Political Science, Peace and Security Studies, Gender Studies, Economics, or a related field are beneficial.
Experience working with multilateral organizations, civil society, or policy research institutions, particularly in Africa, is an asset.
Demonstrated commitment to gender equality, inclusive governance, and human rights, along with the ability to work independently in a remote setting, is highly valued.
