About the Role
We are looking for a Human Resources Executive with prior experience working in a Public Relations or Communications agency. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of the PR industry, its work culture, different PR roles and profiles, and the kind of talent required in a fast-paced agency environment.
The person will be responsible for managing day-to-day HR operations while also working closely with the leadership and account teams on hiring, employee engagement, performance management and overall people-related initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Hiring
* Manage end-to-end recruitment for PR and corporate roles, from sourcing to onboarding.
* Hire for positions such as PR Executives, Senior PR Executives, Account Managers, Account Directors, interns and support functions.
* Source candidates through LinkedIn, recruitment platforms, references and industry networks.
* Screen candidates based on both PR experience and cultural fit.
* Coordinate interviews with the leadership and respective team leads.
* Manage offer discussions, joining formalities and onboarding.
* Maintain a strong talent pipeline for PR profiles.
HR Operations
* Manage employee attendance, leave, WFH requests and other day-to-day HR requirements.
* Maintain employee records and HR documentation.
* Handle onboarding, confirmation, transfers, exits and full & final processes.
* Coordinate with the finance team on payroll-related inputs and employee changes.
* Ensure HR policies and processes are communicated and followed effectively.
Employee Engagement
* Plan and execute employee engagement activities, celebrations, team initiatives and internal events.
* Understand employee concerns and act as a bridge between employees and management.
* Help build a positive, collaborative and professional agency culture.
* Conduct regular employee check-ins and address concerns appropriately.
Performance Management
* Coordinate performance reviews and appraisal cycles.
* Work with team leads to track employee performance and development.
* Identify training and development requirements.
* Support managers in handling performance-related discussions and improvement plans.
PR Industry Understanding
* Have a clear understanding of PR agency structures, roles and responsibilities.
* Understand the difference between profiles such as PR Executive, Senior PR Executive, Account Manager, Account Director, etc.
* Be able to assess candidates based on their media relations, client servicing, communication and PR experience.
* Understand the fast-paced nature of PR agencies, including deadlines, client requirements and team pressures.
