Vice President of Procurement

Role Description The Vice President of Procurement is a full-time, remote role responsible for leading the end-to-end procurement function and optimizing the organization’s supply base. This role oversees strategic sourcing, supplier selection, contract negotiation, and contract management to ensure cost-effective and compliant procurement practices. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing procurement strategies, managing key supplier relationships, and collaborating with finance, operations, and other stakeholders to align procurement activities with business objectives. The Vice President of Procurement will monitor market trends, assess risk, and drive continuous improvement in procurement processes, tools, and policies. This position also mentors and guides procurement team members to enhance performance, efficiency, and value creation across the supply chain.
Qualifications
Strong procurement and strategic sourcing skills, including experience in end-to-end Procurement and Supply Chain Management.
Expertise in Contract Negotiation and Contract Management, with the ability to secure favorable terms and manage contractual risk.
Experience in Supplier Development, including performance evaluation, relationship management, and long-term partnership building.
Proven leadership in supply chain optimization, cost reduction initiatives, and process improvement within complex organizations.
Excellent analytical, financial acumen, and data-driven decision-making capabilities.
Effective communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Prior experience in a senior procurement or supply chain leadership role; experience in investment, financial services, or related sectors is an advantage.
Relevant bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, finance, or a related field; an advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) is beneficial.
