Role Description The VP of Business Development is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, responsible for driving strategic growth across key markets and industry verticals. The role involves identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining executive-level client relationships, and leading end-to-end sales cycles for complex technology and digital transformation engagements. The VP will collaborate closely with delivery, marketing, and product teams to shape value propositions, develop go-to-market strategies, and ensure alignment with client needs and organizational priorities. Typical responsibilities include overseeing account planning, guiding contract negotiations, forecasting revenue, and providing leadership and mentorship to business development and sales teams. The role also includes monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to inform strategic business planning and long-term growth initiatives.
Qualifications
Strong new business development and sales skills, including the ability to originate, qualify, and close large, complex deals.
Experience in strategic business planning and account management, with a track record of growing key accounts and portfolios.
Proficiency in contract negotiation and commercial structuring, with understanding of risk management and compliance considerations.
Background in technology consulting, digital solutions, or IT services, preferably in global or enterprise environments.
Demonstrated leadership experience, including building and managing high-performing business development or sales teams.
Excellent executive communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru and collaborate effectively across cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
Advanced degree in Business, Management, Technology, or a related field is preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
