Role Description Sales Manager – IT Government Sales will be responsible for driving business growth by managing government accounts, building strong client relationships, and achieving sales targets. This role requires expertise in government procurement processes, tender management, and solution selling within the IT domain. The Information Technology Sales Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. This role involves driving IT solutions sales by identifying new business opportunities, generating qualified leads, and managing the end-to-end sales cycle. The Information Technology Sales Manager will build and maintain relationships with key accounts, understand client requirements, and collaborate with technical teams to propose suitable solutions and prepare tailored presentations and proposals. Daily responsibilities include pipeline management, forecasting, negotiating contracts, and ensuring customer satisfaction post-sale. The role also requires monitoring market trends, competitors, and emerging technologies to refine sales strategies and support growth targets.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Government IT Sales and Sales skills, with experience in consultative selling of technology solutions.
shoud have experience with State Government, Central Government, PSU’s.
Candidates should possess Lead Generation skills, including prospecting, qualifying opportunities, and managing a robust sales pipeline.
Candidates should possess Account Management skills, with the ability to nurture client relationships and drive repeat and upsell business.
Candidates should possess a solid understanding of Information Technology domains relevant to digital transformation, such as software, cloud, data, and cybersecurity.
Relevant skills and qualifications include excellent communication and negotiation abilities, strong business acumen, and proficiency with CRM tools and sales reporting.
A bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, information technology, or a related field is preferred, along with prior experience in B2B IT or tech services sales.
