QA Chemist

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site QA Chemist role based in Kanpur. The QA Chemist will perform routine and non-routine analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality specifications. Daily responsibilities include operating and maintaining laboratory instruments, preparing reagents and solutions, documenting test results accurately, and assisting in the investigation of deviations or non-conformities. The role involves supporting quality assurance activities, implementing Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards, and collaborating with production and R&D teams to resolve quality-related issues. The QA Chemist will also help maintain laboratory safety, calibration schedules, and records required for internal and external audits.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Quality Control and Quality Assurance skills, including experience with standard testing protocols and documentation practices.
Candidates should possess solid Laboratory Skills and Analytical Skills, with the ability to operate common laboratory equipment and interpret test data accurately.
Candidates should possess knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and related regulatory requirements applicable to chemical or manufacturing environments.
Relevant educational background such as a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field.
Attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to follow SOPs and safety guidelines consistently.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams on-site.
Prior experience in a quality or analytical laboratory within manufacturing, FMCG, or chemical industries is an advantage.
