Role Description The All Type Valve Technician at Fludchem will work on a full-time, on-site basis in Mumbai, providing hands-on service and maintenance for various industrial valves and associated equipment. Day-to-day responsibilities include inspecting, disassembling, repairing, and reassembling different types of valves; performing calibration and functional tests to ensure proper operation; and conducting routine and preventive maintenance at customer facilities. The technician will diagnose issues in valve performance, troubleshoot process control problems, and document service activities in reports and checklists. The role involves field service visits to client sites, adherence to safety and quality standards, collaboration with engineers and supervisors, and occasional support during shutdowns or emergencies. The technician will also maintain tools and test equipment, support inventory of spare parts, and communicate clearly with clients about findings and recommended actions.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Valve Repair skills, including inspection, disassembly, refurbishment, assembly, and testing of all major valve types.
Candidates should possess Field Service experience, including on-site maintenance, customer interaction, and adherence to safety procedures in industrial environments.
Candidates should possess Process Control knowledge, including understanding of control valves, actuators, positioners, and basic instrumentation principles.
Candidates should possess Calibration and Troubleshooting abilities for valves and related control equipment, including diagnosing performance issues and verifying accuracy against specifications.
Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or ITI in mechanical, instrumentation, or related engineering discipline are beneficial.
Ability to read technical drawings and manuals, use hand tools and test instruments, and prepare clear service documentation.
Strong attention to safety, quality, and housekeeping, with the physical ability to work in industrial environments and at customer sites.
Effective communication skills, reliability, and willingness to work flexible hours as required by project or shutdown schedules.
