Role Overview
As the Executive Vice President (EVP), you will serve as a critical executive leader within our portfolio operations team. Working closely with Managing Directors, Investment Committees, and Portfolio CEOs, you will oversee strategic value creation, operational transformation, and financial performance across a dedicated segment of our fund investments. This is a 100% remote position based in the United States, requiring a high degree of autonomy, executive presence, and a proven track record in private equity value creation.
Key Responsibilities
Value Creation & Strategy: Partner with portfolio company CEOs and executive teams to design, implement, and monitor 100-day plans, long-term strategic roadmaps, and operational scale initiatives.
Operational Excellence: Diagnose operational bottlenecks within portfolio companies and drive initiatives across financial structuring, technology integration, supply chain optimization, and commercial execution.
Board Governance & Oversight: Represent the firm on or alongside portfolio company Boards of Directors, providing rigorous oversight on corporate governance, capital allocation, and executive hiring.
M&A and Integration: Lead add-on acquisition strategies for existing portfolio investments, overseeing due diligence, synergy identification, and post-merger integration.
Performance Monitoring: Implement institutional KPIs, financial dashboards, and operational metrics to provide the Investment Committee with transparent, real-time performance tracking.
Deal Team Collaboration: Assist the investment deal teams during the underwriting phase by evaluating operational risks, assessing management capabilities, and validating investment theses.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: Minimum of 12+ years of professional experience, including a substantial tenure in a Tier-1 Private Equity firm (Portfolio Operations or Deal Team), Top-tier Management Consulting (Partner/Principal level), or as a C-suite executive (CEO/CFO/COO) at a backed high-growth enterprise.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field required. An MBA from a top-tier business school or an advanced degree is highly preferred.
Financial Acumen: Exceptional mastery of corporate finance, leveraged buyout (LBO) mechanics, financial modeling, and EBITDA-driving levers.
Leadership: Proven ability to influence, coach, and align cross-functional executive teams without direct hierarchical authority.
Communication: Elite verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to command boardroom discussions and articulate complex financial/operational concepts clearly.
Travel: Ability to travel domestically up to 25–30% as needed for portfolio company board meetings and on-site alignment sessions (despite being a remote role).
