About the Role
Hollstadt & Associates is seeking an E-Commerce Product Manager/Business Analyst to oversee the strategic direction, operational effectiveness, and business value of a third-party e-commerce platform. This role serves as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, the platform vendor, and technical teams to ensure the platform supports organizational objectives.
The position combines product management and business analysis responsibilities, including product vision and roadmap development, vendor management, requirements engineering, platform adoption, stakeholder engagement, and performance improvement. The ideal candidate can balance strategic planning with tactical execution while maintaining a strong focus on user satisfaction, financial optimization, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Vendor Management
Develop and articulate a clear product vision and roadmap for the e-commerce platform aligned with company goals and market opportunities.
Identify opportunities to maximize the value of the third-party platform through new features, integrations, and process improvements.
Facilitate and document strategic planning sessions with key stakeholders to establish platform direction and priorities.
Evaluate and recommend platform enhancements based on business needs, market trends, and vendor capabilities.
Serve as the primary point of contact for the e-commerce platform vendor.
Negotiate service-level agreements, scope changes, and feature requests with the vendor.
Manage vendor performance against contractual obligations and escalate issues when necessary.
Monitor the vendor's product roadmap and communicate relevant updates to stakeholders.
Requirements Management
Elicit, analyze, validate, and document business requirements for platform configurations and customizations.
Perform gap analysis between business needs and existing platform capabilities.
Create functional specifications, process flows, business rules, and other requirements documentation.
Validate implemented solutions through testing and user acceptance to ensure they meet business requirements.
Platform Advocacy & Adoption
Drive platform adoption across the organization through education, training, and communication.
Demonstrate platform value using metrics, case studies, and success stories.
Lead cross-functional working groups to identify and implement e-commerce platform best practices.
Address stakeholder concerns and resistance through proactive engagement and problem-solving.
Project Coordination
Work with IT Project Managers to plan and coordinate platform initiatives.
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for platform enhancements.
Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
Ensure appropriate change management procedures are followed for platform modifications.
Analytics & Performance Monitoring
Analyze platform and business data to identify patterns, opportunities, and actionable insights.
Monitor platform performance and business value to support continuous improvement.
Use analytics and performance metrics to inform product decisions and priorities.
Required Qualifications
5–7 years of experience in product management, business analysis, or related roles.
Demonstrated experience with e-commerce platforms and digital commerce strategies.
Experience managing vendor relationships and third-party applications.
Proven experience with cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management.
Experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
Experience creating user stories and defining acceptance criteria.
Strong strategic thinking and ability to develop and execute a product vision.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
Strong analytical thinking and ability to derive actionable insights from data.
Proven stakeholder management and consensus-building skills.
Strong requirements engineering capabilities, including elicitation, documentation, and validation.
Sufficient technical understanding to communicate effectively with development teams and vendors.
Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
Excellent organization and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
Ability to influence without direct authority and support organizational change.
Strong customer focus and understanding of customer experience needs.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Product Management or Business Analysis certification, such as CSPO, PMP, or CBAP.
Experience with requirements management and visualization tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or Visio.
Knowledge of e-commerce best practices, industry trends, and competitive landscapes.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management principles.
Understanding of digital marketing, analytics, and user experience principles.

Work Arrangement & Schedule
Location: Minnesota, Minnesota, US
Work Arrangement: Remote
Contract: 6 months with chance of extension
Physical Environment: Office-based computer work with extended periods of sitting at a desk. The role may occasionally involve walking or standing for brief periods.

Compensation & Benefits
Compensation: $50–$56 per hour
Pay Type: W2
Actual pay is dependent on skills and qualifications.
