Role Overview
As the Vice President of Project Management, you will lead the strategic execution, oversight, and governance of all large-scale, high-priority projects within our portfolio, with a strong emphasis on PropTech and commercial real estate development. You will bridge the gap between investment theses and operational reality. Reporting directly to the executive leadership team, you will establish rigorous project management offices (PMO), oversee cross-functional engineering, construction, or tech-integration teams, and ensure rapid, capital-efficient deployment of infrastructure across global markets.
Key Responsibilities
PMO Leadership & Strategy: Establish, standardize, and scale the project management framework and governance for large-scale real estate transformations and tech deployments across the portfolio.
End-to-End Execution Oversight: Drive the execution of high-stakes infrastructure and expansion projects from acquisition through permitting, construction, provisioning, and final operational launch.
Cross-Functional Alignment: Coordinate heavily between real estate acquisition teams, software engineers, operations, local vendors, and legal counsels to eliminate project bottlenecks.
Risk & Contingency Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate complex logistical, regulatory, and financial risks to prevent timeline delays and budget cost-overruns.
Vendor & Supply Chain Procurement: Direct and negotiate high-value contracts with general contractors, technology providers, and logistics vendors, ensuring accountability via institutional KPIs.
Executive Reporting & Dashboards: Deliver transparent, data-driven progress updates, financial forecasts, and deployment roadmaps directly to the Fund's General Partners and executive leaders.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: 10+ years of progressive project management and operations leadership experience, preferably within fast-paced environments like top-tier commercial real estate development, high-growth PropTech startups, or premier technology infrastructure rollouts.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Finance, or Business Operations. An MBA or PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is highly preferred.
Industry Acumen: Strong background in scaling physical footprints or commercial infrastructure. Experience managing multiple distributed geographic projects simultaneously is critical.
Execution-First Mindset: Proven ability to transition fluidly from high-level strategic planning to granular on-the-ground operational execution (Uber-style "hustle" and speed).
Analytical Skills: Exceptional proficiency in project management software, financial budget oversight, capital expenditure (CapEx) tracking, and workflow automation.
Communication: World-class interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills to manage senior institutional stakeholders and technical vendors effectively.
