Role Description The Head of Department (HOD) - R&D at Tech UVS Private Limited will establish, develop, and lead the Research & Development Department from its early stage. This leadership role combines technical problem-solving, research, and team guidance to transform real-world engineering problems into validated, practical products. Located in Dondaicha, Tal. Shindkheda, Dist. Dhule, Maharashtra, the HOD - R&D will manage the end-to-end R&D development cycle: Problem → Research → Analysis → Concept → Design → Prototype → Testing → Optimization → Validation. Responsibilities include defining research priorities, coordinating CAD and structural/thermal simulation activities, developing experiment and testing procedures, maintaining comprehensive technical documentation, and building a performance-driven R&D team.
Note: As Tech UVS is in its initial startup phase, fixed or guaranteed compensation is not provided at this stage. Any payment or compensation depends on company financial position, project availability, and mutual agreement, with scope to evolve as the R&D department grows.
Qualifications
Strong engineering fundamentals with an understanding of design, manufacturing processes, and machine design.
Familiarity or working knowledge in CAD, Engineering Drawing, GD&T, Materials, FEA/CAE, Prototyping, and Testing.
Proven engineering problem-solving ability and a strong research mindset (Question → Research → Analyze → Experiment → Learn → Improve).
Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities, including planning, decision-making, team coordination, and project ownership.
B.E. / B.Tech or M.E. / M.Tech degree, or a Diploma with strong technical and project experience (Mechanical Engineering and related disciplines preferred).
Open to freshers who demonstrate strong project work, research exposure, or leadership potential.
